What is missing

When studying acronyms in the Tanakh, one becomes aware of the importance of beginnings and ends. Every beginning is merely spiritual. First comes the idea. "And the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters", Gen 1:2. And however great the influence of Eastern wisdom may be, which emphasizes the importance of the way, we all know a longing for completion. That satisfying feeling that beginning and end reach out to each other in a parable. The book of the guy who attracted misfortune like cattle attract flies ends thus: "15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren. 16 And after this Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even 4 generations. 17 So Job died, being old and satiated with days." This shop is dedicated to healing, salvation, deliverance, be that personally or bigger. The beginning of healing, salvation or deliverance is knowing what is missing. In Hebrew, אבדה ‘something missing’ is written with the letters resp. numerals 1–2–4–5. That looks like counting from one, but with the middle one missing. Knowing what is missing is merely spiritual. That is what you can shop here. · Erev Shavuot 5786, May 21, 2026

The shop is designed after a clothes shop. The time of employment is similar. If you change your clothes daily, you anyway need to put the whole range of the shop into your basket. But instead, I recommend to acquire the physical item:

Adam, אָנהייב

16 vv.(Ps. 92)

tap to open ↩

אָנהייב ['Anhaiiv] is the Yiddish expression for beginning. The Midrash states that Adam—אדם [Adam] ‘man’ reads like א-דם ‘A-blood’; the soul is in the blood—composed this song for the very first Sabbath. Adam and Eve are the product of the 6th day of creation, before God ceased and rested. Yehuda haLevi, who lived a millennium earlier, knew only nations which counted time by the week, HaKuzari 1:57. "Those 7 are the eyes of the Lord, ranging over the whole Earth", Zech 4:10. Man should have a better sense for resting than the sloth. We invent incredible machines to man's relief but seem to be more stressed than any previous generation. Not only a 過労死 [Karōshi] ‘person that works himself/herself to death’ needs to connect to Adam. But he/she is the first that comes to my mind. The Sabbath law is directed to every human being, with Israel as the model. The 7 facets on the stone laid before Joshua the high priest in Zechariah's prophecy about the Måshiaḥ (3:8ff) are the 7 characteristics of the days of the week, with the 7th day on a whole new level, called holiness, namely as the window to connect with the Creator.
