Search for Acronyms
Find letter patterns in the Tanakh
How it works:
- Enter any Hebrew letter sequence to find matching patterns
- Searches for acronyms formed by first or last letters of consecutive words
- Checks both within verses and across consecutive verse boundaries
- Saved to the library are only acronyms that are meaningful—a word or an existing common abbreviation—and rare. Rare means to occur only once either as abbreviation of first letters (Acronym), as abbreviation of first letters with prefixes regarded as own words (Acr. W/Prefix) or as abbreviation of last letters (bacronyM). In the very same way rarity is also recognized for the Torah only.
- The system analyzes if the pattern forms a meaningful Hebrew word
